Why do you smoke?
I won't bore you with details of how bad cigarettes are for your health or the number of toxic cancer inducing chemicals there are in each cigarette because you know that already and you still smoke. You still smoke because you believe cigarettes sometimes do things for you, like helping you relax and de-stress. In the short term sometimes those who have given up cannot immediately appreciate benefits of being a non-smoker and this is what can lure them back into smoking again.
When thinking about quitting smoking do the following cross your mind? :
How will I get over the cravings?
How will I cope?
Will I still like going out to socialize?
Will I be able to be friends with people that smoke?
Will I put weight on?
Will I be bad tempered?
What will I do to entertain myself?
What will I do to relax and de-stress?
What if I fail?
Thinking any or all of the above is common in people wanting to stop smoking, but if you have your own motivation to succeed then hypnotherapy will aid you and mean that you no longer worry about failure or doubt your abilities to be a non-smoker permanently.
Just imagine what you will achieve when you've quit:
You feel freedom
You have better health
You live longer
You no longer smell of stale tobacco smoke
You have more money - a 20/ day smoker spends about $2555/ a year
You no longer feel guilty as the burden of smoking is lifted from you
You are no longer an addict, you are in control
Stop smoking once and for all using hypnosis now. Because hypnosis can reprogram our subconscious feelings, beliefs, attitudes and motivations, the changes are immediate and lasting. This is why hypnosis is becoming so popular.
“After trying the patch, gum, cold turkey, I finally turned to hypnosis after smoking for 24 years. Thanks for giving me my health back Anita! ”
Susan M., Williston Vermont
A man who had been smoking for over 20 years, came to see me to quit smoking and admitted right away he was skeptical. Since he had started smoking secretively with his friends when he was a teen, he had quit several times, but always drifted back being tempted by his friends who smoked or a stressful situation. He explained to me that his close friend had recently quit using hypnosis and was so happy and thought he’d “give it a try”. Even with his skepticism, he was pleased he was able to go into trance easily and after the first session his cravings had gone way down. We worked over the next two sessions to understand his triggers and how he could get his needs met in other ways to support his health and personal goals. He was able to visualize himself in trance going about his day all without a cigarette. By the time his fourth session a few weeks later came around he proudly announced he was a non-smoker, was feeling more energetic and the timing couldn’t have been better because he had just found out his wife was expecting their first child!
